Jet2 to expand flight schedule for Iceland

Winter 23/24 will come with increased flights availability, as UK airline Jet2.com has decided to expand capacity for this destinations.
Holidaymakers aiming to visit Iceland will soon have multiple flights to choose from, across nine UK airports. A new addition, Newcastle Airport, will also serve the 23/24 season. The other hubs where you can catch a flight to Iceland are Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Birmingham, Belfast International, Bristol, Edinburgh, East Midlands and Glasgow.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, expects a significant demand following the offer. He also declared about the decision:
“Our programme of flights and city breaks to Iceland continue to be hugely popular, as more customers than ever look to enjoy the stunning natural wonders. On the back of such strong demand, we have expanded our Winter 23/24 programme to Iceland, meaning we can offer more opportunities to visit this beautiful destination at the best times of the year.
“With a fantastic programme of scheduled services and once-in-a-lifetime trips on sale, we are giving customers and independent travel agents more choice and flexibility and we know this programme will be as popular as previous Iceland programmes.”
Flights to Iceland’s Keflavík International Airport will be available as follows:
- twice a week, from Newcastle International Airport and Leeds Bradford Airport between September and November, as well as March to April.
- twice a week from Birmingham and Manchester Airports, between September and November, and February to April.
- three trips from Belfast International, three from Bristol and three from Edinburgh - in November, February and March.
- one exclusive route from East Midlands, with a total of seven trips in total scheduled for November, February, and March.
- Glasgow with five trips also in November, February and March.
