Lufthansa Launches New Non-Stop Flights to São Paulo with Airbus A350

Airlines & Airports

As of December 9, 2024, Lufthansa is offering a new non-stop flight connection between Munich (MUC) and São Paulo (GRU). The route is serviced three times a week by one of the most advanced and fuel-efficient aircraft, the Airbus A350, enhancing connectivity between Germany and Brazil.

Convenient Flight Schedule

Flights from Munich to São Paulo will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, departing at 11:45 a.m. local time and arriving in São Paulo at 8:15 p.m. The return flights from São Paulo to Munich will depart on the same day at 10:05 p.m., landing in Munich the next afternoon at 1:40 p.m. This schedule ensures that passengers can easily access connecting flights from or to São Paulo.

Boosting Tourism and Economic Ties

This new route further strengthens the economic and cultural links between Germany and Brazil. São Paulo, a major global city, now plays an even more vital role in Lufthansa's network. For Munich, Brazil has become the fifth most important overseas tourist market. The city recorded an impressive 17% increase in overnight stays in 2024 compared to the previous year, reflecting the growing importance of this route for both business and leisure travel.
