New Airbus 321neo Features Fully Lie-Flat Business Seats

News

Korean Air is launching its first Airbus 321neo and it features fully lie-flat business seats.

Korean Air received its first Airbus 321neo recently. It will begin operations this month. Korean Air's A321neo has fully lie-flat business seats. It will be deployed this month.

A321neo provides a pleasant flight experience for short-haul travelers by offering inflight internet, sophisticated cabin interiors, and advanced personal entertainment systems.

“We are delighted to receive our first A321neo, which will be a great asset to our fleet, network and passengers,” said Soo Keun Lee, Executive Vice President and Chief Safety & Operation Officer of Korean Air. “This fuel-efficient, next-generation A321neo will bring our customers’ experience to a new level with the award-winning Airspace cabin and fully lie-flat business class seats.”

“By adding the A321neo to its fleet, Korean Air will benefit from enhanced operational efficiency and the highest levels of in-flight comfort,” said Christian Scherer, Airbus Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Airbus International. “With the A321neo’s per-seat fuel improvements of at least 25% compared with Korean Air’s previous generation same-sized fleet, the airline will reduce its operating costs significantly, as well as emissions at the same time.”

The Prestige class will offer 180-degree flat-bed seating in its narrowbody fleet for the first time.

The A321neo's fully-laid-flat business seats provide seamless comfort for passengers who are combining long-haul flights to Europe and the Americas with short-haul flights to Southeast Asia, China, and Japan.

Business class seats come with a personal monitor of 44 cm for audio/video-on-demand services and a wireless charger for your smartphone.

Customers in economy class can have inflight entertainment via a personal monitor measuring 33 cm. This is the largest of the airline's narrowbody aircraft. Each seat has an individual coat hook and an adjustable headrest.

New A321neo business seats welcome passengers. They are inspired by patchwork and feature a variety of patterns. The luxurious cabin ambiance is enhanced by the use of a fabric blend of gold and dark gray. A woven pattern in bold colors is the best choice for economy-class seat fabric.

Korean Air is also the first Asian airline with Airbus' Airspace cabin in an A321neo.

Airspace is the airline's new way to improve passenger comfort, cabin ambiance, and inflight service. The unique, customizable lighting system creates the perfect ambiance for all aspects of flight, including when passengers are welcomed aboard, eating inflight meals, and cruising.

The airline is committed to providing the best levels of cleanliness and protection against viruses by using window shades.

Overhead bins are 40 percent bigger than other A321neos and offer passengers more room to store their carry-on luggage.

The A321neo will offer inflight internet starting in the first half of next year. The airline will offer internet services on new aircraft, starting with the A321neo.

The airline's fleet modernization plan includes the introduction of the A321neo. By 2027, the airline will receive 30 Airbus 321neo planes.
