New summer campaign launched by Greece
The new GNTO global campaign tells the true story of an Austrian man named Otto, who was so charmed by the beauty of the country that after visiting it as a tourist decided to move to Greece permanently.
“A true story this year becomes the focus of our content, which touches on the feelings of travellers and centres on the authenticity of destination Greece. An identity and authenticity so strong that they will make the visitor think of staying in our country forever,” commented Dimitris Fragais, The Greek National Tourism Organization’s secretary general.
Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias added:
“The peace, simplicity and beauty he experienced, led him to stay, work, start a family in Greece, and eventually change his life forever.
“Our summer campaign, following our successful winter and city-break campaigns, is another part of our strategy to have a successful tourism season this year.”
The new summer creative is funded by the Onassis Foundation and was produced by Ogilvy. The campaign is currently being implemented to targeted markets.
