No more Eurostar direct trains to Disneyland Paris from London

Starting the year to come the rail operator will no longer operate direct trains from London to the famous attractions park.
The decision was made due to the considerable post-Brexit travel restrictions impact, as well as the coronavirus pandemic, and will come into effect starting June 5, 2023.
“We have taken the decision not to run the direct Disney service [...] in summer 2023.
“While we continue to recover financially from the pandemic and monitor developments in the proposed EU entry-exit system, we need to focus on our core routes to ensure we can continue to provide the high level of service and experience that our customers rightly expect. [...]
“Whilst we have seen travel demand return this year, we have financial commitments as a result of the pandemic which we will continue to face for a number of years”, the company commented in a recent statement.
Nevertheless, Eurostar railway access to Disneyland via Lille and Paris stations will be operated as usual.
“Passengers can still enjoy high-speed rail travel between London and Disneyland Paris, via Paris or Lille.
'This decision applies from 5th June 2023, and as tickets are not yet on sale beyond this date, existing customer bookings will not be affected.
'We will revisit options for 2024 during the course of the next year”, the statement adds.
The route directly connecting London to Disneyland Paris was established in 1996, two years after Eurostar’s debut in November 1994.
However, according to Julia Lo Bue-Said, CEO at Advantage Travel Partnership, the company’s decision will significantly disappoint British tourists.
"Taking young ones and families to the famous park in France has been a highlight for thousands of British families for many years. [...]
"The reality is that Brexit has removed the ability for Brits to travel freely across Europe, and has taken away the seamless and frictionless travel that we all enjoyed prior to leaving the EU," the chief executive concluded.
