easyJet Launches New Routes Including Flights to Luxor, Egypt

Airlines & Airports

easyJet has announced the launch of five new routes from four UK airports, including flights to Luxor, Egypt, marking the first time in over a decade the airline has flown to this historic destination. This expansion brings the total number of new routes introduced this winter to 41, covering various locations across Europe and North Africa.

New Routes to Egypt

Luxor: A Cultural Haven

Starting 11 November, easyJet will operate flights to Luxor from London Gatwick with departures twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays. Known for its ancient temples and tombs, Luxor is home to iconic monuments such as the Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, and the tomb of Tutankhamun. This destination is perfect for history enthusiasts looking to explore Egypt’s rich heritage.

In addition, easyJet holidays will offer a new river cruise package to Luxor, featuring seven-night Nile River cruises in partnership with Jaz Hotels and Resorts. This unique travel experience includes breathtaking views of the Nile, green fields, and desert mountains, sailing from Luxor to Edfu and Aswan, and back. Luxor hotels, ranging from 4* to 5*, are also available, providing luxurious accommodations close to major attractions.

Sharm El Sheik: Winter Sun Destination

easyJet is also launching new winter services to Sharm El Sheik from Liverpool, starting 14 February. Flights will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, making it convenient for UK travelers to escape to this sunny destination. With these new routes, easyJet will offer more seats to Egypt from the UK than any other airline.

Expanding Connections to Norway

Oslo: Gateway to Scenic Adventures

New routes to Oslo from Manchester and Liverpool will commence on 15 November and 29 November, respectively. Both routes will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. These additions expand easyJet’s connections to Norway, following the recent introduction of flights to Tromso from London Gatwick, Bristol, and Manchester. Oslo offers vibrant nightlife, diverse cuisine, and scenic natural beauty, ideal for city breaks and winter getaways.

Strengthening UK Travel Options

Ali Gayward, easyJet's UK Country Manager, expressed excitement about the new routes: “We’re delighted to be launching even more new routes from airports across the UK to a fantastic range of leisure destinations. By continuing to strengthen our network, we’re providing even more choice and connectivity for our customers all across the UK, whether they’re chasing the winter sun, planning a magical winter getaway, or hitting the slopes.”

easyJet now serves 21 UK airports, offering 584 routes to 136 destinations. With new routes available for booking on easyJet.com and via the mobile app, travelers can explore exciting new destinations this winter. easyJet holidays packages, including flights, hotels, and transfers, are also available, offering flexibility and guaranteed value.
