Taylor Swift Fan Cruise Sets Sail Next Year, Minus Swift
Swifties are cordially invited to embark on a Bahamian adventure during a forthcoming four-night fan cruise departing from the vibrant city of Miami next year.
However, devotees of Taylor Swift are advised against anticipating the presence of their beloved idol on board the Royal Caribbean’s majestic vessel, the Allure of the Seas.
Organized by the adept travel agents at Marvelous Mouse Travels, the event explicitly emphasizes on its website multiple times that it is "not endorsed or affiliated with TASRM [Publishing] or Taylor Swift."
The maritime odyssey, aptly named "In My Cruise Era," is slated to commence its voyage from the Port of Miami on October 21, 2024, immediately following Swift's final performance in the city.
The event's website beckons participants to "join us as we celebrate all things Taylor, forge new friendships, adorn ourselves in our preferred eras, exchange friendship bracelets, and relish in the plethora of offerings aboard this spectacular vessel."
Spearheading the cruise are Jessica Malerman, Nicole Rivera, and Shelby Reyes, who are not only Marvelous Mouse travel agents but also self-proclaimed "besties and Taylor Fans" and Royal Caribbean specialists.
The Allure of the Seas, the chosen vessel for this unique experience, boasts a total of 2,748 staterooms, accommodating up to 5,496 guests at double occupancy. The exact allocation for Taylor Swift fans within the ship remains unspecified on the event's website.
Despite a request for more details from CNN Travel, the agents responsible for the cruise have yet to respond. Royal Caribbean, in turn, directed inquiries back to the travel agency.
While certain specifics are still in the works, the organizers express collaboration with Royal Caribbean on Taylor-themed activities each evening of the four-night sojourn. Tentative events include a stylized dance party named "I don't wanna dance if I'm not dancing with you" and a themed karaoke session titled "Heartbreak is the national anthem, we sing it proudly," although these are subject to change.
The cruise will visit Royal Caribbean's private island and Nassau in the Bahamas as its two ports of call. As of the latest update on the event's website, boardwalk balcony rooms are sold out, but other stateroom options are still available. These staterooms necessitate a $100 per person deposit, with prices ranging from $1,573 to $1,967 for double occupancy.
A noteworthy stipulation is that all attendees under 21 must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older, with limited exceptions.
Swift's ongoing "Eras" tour has elicited tremendous demand since its commencement in the spring, prompting fans to traverse great distances to attend the highly coveted shows. Notably, a postponed concert recently led an airline to waive change fees for fans who extended their stays in Buenos Aires.
