Radisson Hotel Group Expands Presence in Italy with 5 New Hotel Signings

Hotels & Resorts

Radisson Hotel Group has significantly expanded its Italian portfolio, signing five new hotels and announcing seven upcoming openings that will add over 1,000 rooms by 2025. This development aligns with the Group’s growth strategy to increase its footprint in key travel markets across Italy. The expansion also aims to introduce new brands and enhance offerings in both major cities and emerging destinations.

Italy: A Core Growth Market for Radisson Hotel Group

Italy’s prominence as a travel and business hub makes it a critical market for Radisson. The country attracts millions of visitors annually to cities like Rome, Milan, and Venice, known for their rich cultural heritage and strong demand for luxury accommodations. The Group's expansion strategy focuses not only on established destinations but also on emerging cities like Bergamo and Pisa, broadening its reach to cater to diverse traveler needs.

Over the past six years, Radisson Hotel Group's portfolio in Italy has grown from three to 20 properties. The current phase of expansion aims for 30 hotels signed or under development by 2027. The first of the seven new openings scheduled for 2025 includes high-profile locations like Bergamo, Pisa, Como, Florence, and Rome.

The hotel will provide 107 rooms, ranging from standard to suites, and will offer three dining options, a fitness center, and spa facilities. Its location near Milan makes it a strategic addition to the Radisson portfolio.

Radisson Blu Hotel, Florence

New Brand Introductions and Strategic Focus

Targeting Diverse Travel Needs

Radisson's strategy is not limited to luxury offerings; the Group is also targeting the lifestyle segment with brands like Radisson RED, set to make its Italian debut in Naples. The new Radisson RED Naples will transform a historic building into a vibrant hotel featuring 150 rooms, various dining options, and a rooftop terrace. The hotel’s playful design and amenities cater to modern travelers looking for an unconventional experience.

Radisson Hotel Pisa
