SAS is expanding its route network by introducing a new summer flight from Stockholm Arlanda to Keflavik, Iceland, for the 2025 season. This new service will complement SAS’s year-round connections from Copenhagen and Oslo, offering travelers more options to explore Iceland’s stunning landscapes and vibrant tourism sector.
A Perfect Opportunity to Experience Iceland’s Midnight Sun
Flights between Arlanda and Keflavik, Iceland’s main international gateway, will operate overnight from June 22, 2025, to August 11, 2025. This schedule is ideal for long weekend trips, taking advantage of Iceland’s unique midnight sun, which offers 24 hours of daylight. The extended daylight hours allow travelers to fully enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking to waterfalls, exploring glaciers, volcanic areas, lava fields, and experiencing Reykjavik’s culture and nightlife.
Henrik Winell, Vice President of Network at SAS, said:
“We are excited to offer travelers the chance to experience all that Iceland has to offer, whether for business or leisure. The flight schedule is designed to maximize the extended daylight hours, allowing our passengers to make the most of their stay, while also saving on hotel costs with overnight flights.”
Increased Connectivity for Travelers to Iceland
The new route from Stockholm to Iceland meets the growing demand for travel to the country. This expansion allows SAS to offer enhanced connectivity between Sweden, the Baltics, Finland, and other countries, further supporting the booming Icelandic tourism market.
With this new service, SAS continues to provide travelers with more ways to experience the natural beauty and adventure of Iceland during the peak summer season.
