Schiphol Airport Launches Convenient New Pickup Location for Taxi App Users

In a move to streamline the transportation experience for passengers, Schiphol Airport has announced a new pickup and drop-off location specifically designed for users of taxi apps like Uber and Bolt. Situated on Koepelstraat, merely a five-minute stroll from Schiphol Plaza, this newly established spot promises ease of access for travelers and airline crew alike, thanks to a freshly constructed passageway.

Passengers arriving at the airport can easily navigate to this new location, dubbed the arrival passage, by following clear signage from the Arrivals area. The site is not only well-marked for those on foot but also for taxi and bus drivers, ensuring smooth access for vehicles holding a valid pass. While this development caters primarily to app-based transportation services, traditional pick-up and drop-off options remain available for personal vehicle use at the Kiss & Ride and P1 areas. Additionally, coach services are set to migrate to Koepelstraat post-summer.

Schiphol has committed to further enhancements at the arrival passage in the upcoming months, including the installation of toilets, a protective roof, and street furniture to improve the overall convenience and comfort for users.

This initiative is part of the broader Multimodal Hub Schiphol (MHS) project, aimed at revamping the airport's train and bus stations to accommodate the growing demand for public transportation. The project reflects Schiphol's dedication to maintaining a state-of-the-art transport hub, with the new arrival passage and the ongoing bus station renovation efforts poised to significantly improve the flow of various traffic streams around the airport.
