SeaWorld Entertainment Inc., the umbrella company of SeaWorld and Busch Gardens theme parks, is rebranding as United Parks & Resorts Inc.
Effective February 12, SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. will undergo a name change to United Parks & Resorts Inc. Accompanying this change, the company's New York Stock Exchange ticker symbol will shift from SEAS to PRKS, with trading under the new ticker commencing on February 13.
The rebranding does not affect the names of the individual parks. The company oversees a range of attractions, including SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove, Sesame Place, Water Country USA, Adventure Island, Aquatica, and the upcoming SeaWorld Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, totaling 12 park locations in the U.S.
CEO Marc Swanson explained that the new name, United Parks & Resorts Inc., more accurately represents the company's broad portfolio of diverse park brands and experiences. This rebranding marks a significant step in the company's evolution, emphasizing its expansive and varied collection of entertainment destinations.
