Short Cruises On Royal Caribbean's Utopia Of The Seas To Be Launched

News

The new ship from Royal Caribbean International will allow passengers to have the vacation of a lifetime over the course of a few short days.

When it will begin service in July 2024, the Utopia of the Seas will provide three- and four-night excursions, an inaugural offering for the line's Oasis Class. The cruise ship can carry around 5,600 passengers to the Bahamas port of Nassau and the private island of Perfect Day in CocoCay.

Guests may enjoy a wide range of onboard entertainment options, including both new and refurbished locations, some of which have been redesigned specifically for the ship.

“Vacationers are looking to make every moment count by celebrating and recharging with their friends and family, and Utopia of the Seas makes all that possible in more ways than one.

“With the variety of dining, bars, pools, entertainment and thrills that make Oasis Class ships revolutionary and the experiences to match on our private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, we’ve combined the best of the best to create the world’s biggest weekend for everyone,” commented the Group’s President and CEO Michael Bayley.

Among the ship's more than 20 restaurants is a new and improved Izumi. Next to it will be Izumi in the Park, a window serving sushi and other Japanese sweets. Gio's Terrazza, an outpost of Giovanni's Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar, will also be available to guests, perched high above the Boardwalk.

Located on the Royal Promenade, the new Caribbean bar Pesky Parrot will offer a variety of fruity cocktails, as well as frozen beverages and other things. More information on the "locomotive journey" eating experience which includes many dishes and technological features was also promised in the press announcement.

The new Solarium Suites, which provide panoramic views along with access to the Royal Suite Class experience, are just one of over 20 different types of lodgings available to guests. In addition to the five pools and two casinos, guests may also enjoy rock climbing walls, zip lines, and other outdoor activities.

The general public can start making reservations on Friday, but the cruise line's Crown & Anchor Society members can start doing so on Thursday (price details are yet TBD). Online booking is available for passengers. According to the company's website, all Royal Caribbean ships include accessible accommodations for passengers with special needs.
