The Philippine Travel Mart 2022 edition unveiled

Centred around the theme "Safe Travels”, the event will gather over 200 key exhibitors marketing travel packages at convenient prices, for both domestic and international destinations.

"We've been waiting for a long time and now is the perfect time to travel again, support local businesses, and explore the Philippines and beyond”, declared Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA) president Fe Abling-Yu.

The expo will focus on various travel segments, with tourism products like popular destinations including sun and beach, aquatic sports, cruises, health&wellness, culinary arts, culture, entertainment, MICE and many more.

Offers in the event feature discount tour packages in Bali, Siem Reap, Ho Chi Minh, Japan, Malaysia, and South Korea.

"If you put our country side by side with our main competitors in the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region, our offerings are almost the same if not better. In that, we have beaches, natural resources, beautiful people, beautiful products, various destinations," Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco added.

In order to promote the country as a top tourist destination, DOT will also launch special programs boosting the overall tourist experience.

"We will also provide a convenient and better tourism experience for both foreign and domestic travellers through standardized travel protocols. [...]

"We have reached out to the DILG (Department of the Interior and Local Government), the Bureau of Immigration, and the Bureau of Quarantine to ensure that our entry protocols are reasonable, are consistent throughout the country, and will encourage, not dissuade, tourists from coming to the Philippines and going from place to place across our country," Frasco concluded.

The Philippine Travel Mart is the longest-running travel trade exhibition in the Philippines, committed to the marketing and development of both domestic and inbound tourism across the area.
