TUI's Summer 2024 Programme Features 1.1 Million More Flights

TUI, a leading global travel and entertainment company, added an additional 1.1 million seats to flights departing from the UK in summer 2024.

TUI has announced that it will have its biggest summer ever, thanks to the announcement of more flexibility for customers regarding departure airports, holiday lengths and destinations.

It's good news for British tourists who want to book their summer vacations early. There is more capacity available to transport holidaymakers to popular destinations.

Increased seats are available at 13 regional airports from Glasgow to Bournemouth. More destinations are now accessible from the local airport.

More than 10 million flights in Summer 2024

TUI can now offer British tourists more flexibility and choice with the additional capacity. TUI will have more than 10 million seats for the summer, including popular destinations.

Increase in the price of:

  • Additional 250,000 seats for Turkey
  • Additional 250,000 Seats to Spain
  • Additional 250,000 seats for Greece and Cyprus
  • North Africa: 300,000 extra seats
  • Additional 50,000 seats for Italy and Croatia
  • New Marella Cruise itineraries

Andrew Flintham said, "Our customers are looking for more flexibility, and they want to be able choose an airport close to their home. That is what the new TUI 2024 Summer Programme is designed to achieve." TUI wants to give our customers the freedom to design a vacation that is unique to them. The departure airport, destination, and duration of their holiday are all important factors.

"The 2024 programme will see extra flights departing from across the UK with additional TUI flying from Glasgow, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Bristol, and East Midlands. Each region of the UK will see significant increase in flight seats offering more holidays to those living in the region. All of this adds up to over 1 million extra TUI smiles!"

Regional Flying

The country's customers will enjoy additional flights with new routes, exclusive routes, and increased frequency at regional airports. The additional capacity will allow customers to travel from wherever they are.

TUI's Glasgow Airport will be the largest ever program for 2024, with two additional aircraft and 188,000 extra seats. This includes additional flights to Greece and Cape Verde, as well six exclusive routes.

Birmingham will add 100,000 extra seats with an additional aircraft and 13 exclusive routes, including Agadir Boa Vista Cancun Enfidha Hurghada Kavala Marrakech Orlando-Melbourne Florida Montego Bay Pula Punta Cana Sal Sharm El Sheikh

Bournemouth Airport is planning a new aircraft with an increase of 33% in seats, and a new route from Tunisia to Enfidha. There will also be increased frequencies to Ibiza as well as Lanzarote and Menorca.

Bristol Airport will be able to offer new routes to Boa Vista, Cape Verde and other popular destinations. There are also plans to add 120,000 seats to the short- and mid-haul flights.

Manchester will have an extra aircraft at the airport, allowing for a total of 2.3 million seats. There will be an extra 130,000 seats with daily departures planned to ten destinations, and a new route from Budapest.

Newcastle will benefit from an additional aircraft at the airport, which will help to provide 120,000 more seats as well as new routes to Cape Verde or Egypt.

The Cardiff Airport will introduce a new direct route from Cardiff to Sharm El Sheik in Egypt, as well as an additional 40,000 seats.

East Midlands will launch its largest ever programme with four exclusive routes and 100,000 additional seats, plus an extra aircraft.

Exeter Airport has added extra flights to Crete, Rhodes and 15,000 additional seats.

Gatwick is planning to offer two million seats in summer 2024, with new routes to Marsa Alam (Al-Ahmar) and Budapest. TUI will operate 11 exclusive routes and have 200,000 more seats than Summer 2023.

There will be increased frequencies to Dalaman, Antalya and Dalaman after 60 years at Luton.

Stansted is planning to increase flight frequencies from the UK to Greece, Turkey, and Cyprus by 30,000 seats. This will offer more flexibility and choice.

Teesside Airport is set to benefit from the launch of a new route every week to Dalaman, making TUI its exclusive operator in Turkey.
