Wizz Air commences operations from Olsztyn-Mazury Airport, Poland
Wizz Air has announced launching services from its eighth airport in Poland
The new three-times-a-week service will connect Northeast Poland with London, from Luton to Olsztyn-Mazury and back, starting 18th of June.
Besides offering low fares opportunities to its passengers, the new Wizzair route is part of the company's expansion plan to Poland. The Olsztyn-Mazury-Luton route is expected to boost aviation and hospitality industries in the connected areas.
The airline currently owns 19 aircrafts based in Polish airports, accounting for over 700 employees.
Gabor Vasarhelyi, communications manager at Wizz Air, declared about the company's new route:
“Wizz Air continues the expansion of its low-fare route offer in Poland and we are thrilled to announce our first route from Olsztyn-Mazury Airport to London.
“We are sure that our new service to the capital of the United Kingdom will be welcomed by consumers as we bring low fares to the region.
“Likewise, we are confident that UK passengers will enjoy visiting the Masurian Lake District that has a wide range of outdoor activities to offer to its visitors.”
6 million passengers have chosen the low cost carrier's services in 2015. By adding the latest Olsztyn-Mazury-Luton service, Wizz Air accounts for 126 routes to 22 countries from the airports based in Poland.
