The Third Global Tourism Resilience Conference Will Take Place in Malaga
Minister of Tourism of Jamaica and co-chair and founder of the Globa Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Center shared the big announcement.
Hon. Edmund Bartlett is Minister of Tourism of Jamaica and co-chair and founder of the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre GTRCMC. He was pleased to announce that the next year's Global Tourism Resilience conference will be held in Malaga on 16 and 17 February.
The United Nations has declared the 17th of February the Global Tourism Resilience Day. This initiative was spearheaded by Hon. Edmund Bartlett (Minister of Tourism of Jamaica), was elected by 94 countries at the General Assembly of UN on 4 February 2023.
This United Nations proclamation culminated with the second edition, from 15-17 February 2023, in Kingston (Jamaica), of the Global Tourism Resilience Conference.
GTRCMC and its partners joined forces to improve the ability of countries, and particularly the tourism industry around the world to adapt to the increasing complexity of natural hazards and climate change.
GTRCMC is proud to have hosted the conference in Malaga, also known as European Capital of Smart Tourism.
This project is a collaboration of ITIC and GTRCMC. It will allow countries to harness disruptions and also attract new investors.
